More than ever, a basic understanding of data is critical for everything we do. This couldn't be more true in politics where the insights derived from good data can uncover the trends, behavior, and potential outcomes can make the difference between winning or losing by a few votes.

This event will discuss what data is in the political context and how campaigns harness data to put themselves in a position for success. By the end of this event you'll be able to go beyond the buzzwords and gain a better understanding of the role data plays in campaigns and the political landscape , and how leverage data to make decisions even if you don't have a technical or math background.

About the Instructor: Amber Carrier is a survey strategist and data lover with over a decade of experience in qualitative and quantitative research. In her current role as BlueLabs Polling Director, she oversees all polling aspects of the firm's work. Prior to BlueLabs, Amber ran polling and modeling strategy at the DCCC in the 2018 blue wave cycle that netted 40 congressional seats. Amber was also a Senior Project Manager on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, and cut her teeth in surveys a Senior Analyst at The Mellman Group.
